Information on the most important German language exams:
Our wide range of exams rounds out our language program for you
TestDaF
As one of the largest test centers in Germany, with over 100 participants per exam, we are pleased to offer the TestDaF on every regular exam date. This is an internationally standardized test. Unlike the DSH, which is designed and administered by each university individually, the TestDaF allows for the comparison of German language proficiency at an international level. To study at a German university or college as an international student, you must demonstrate sufficient German language proficiency. The TestDaF makes this possible. It is accepted as an admission exam at all universities in Germany, as it assesses the four language skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Would you like to prepare intensively for the TestDaF? We offer suitable preparation courses!
telc
As a licensed telc testing center, we offer exams on a regular basis. We have one exam date to choose from each month, and you can take all German exam formats with us.
Since October 2025, we have also been offering telc exams in Tunis, Tunisia. The exams are administered by us at Alpha Aktiv Tunis. Currently, the B1 and B2 exams are available, each costing €220.

In-House Exam
For all participants who would like to take an exam but do not necessarily require international recognition, we recommend our internal exam based on the CEFR standard for all proficiency levels (A1 through C1). Passing the B2 exam, for example, allows you to apply to university.
Information on the Most Important Foreign Language Exams
telc
As a licensed telc testing center, we offer not only the telc German exams but also the telc foreign language exams. The telc English exam, in particular, is very popular with us. We set these dates flexibly. Feel free to contact us.
TOEFL Foreign Language Exam
As part of our test center license from LTS (Language Testing Service), we administer all LTS-supported language exams on-site at our language institute, including, of course, the TOEFL-ITP. It’s good to know that some exams can also be taken online. Please check in advance to see which test is right for you. If you’re not sure, we’d be happy to advise you.
IELTS
The IELTS exam is an internationally recognized language certification valued by universities, employers, and government agencies worldwide. As an official test center, we provide you with a reliable way to demonstrate your English proficiency and open up new professional or academic opportunities.
