The chances of success on the entrance exam for state-run preparatory colleges vary depending on the preparatory college, the specialized track, and the number of applicants. Typically, the pass rate ranges between 30% and 50%, with spots at the most sought-after preparatory colleges being particularly competitive. However, with targeted preparation, you can significantly increase your chances. Our course participants achieve pass rates of over 90%, which is well above average. If you don't pass the entrance exam, you usually have the option to retake it at a later date. Most Studienkollegs offer the exam twice a year. You can use the time until the next exam to focus on improving your weak areas. Alternatively, you can also consider other ways to study in Germany, such as attending our private preparatory college (which does not require an entrance exam).
