Here's what you'll learn in the B2 German course:
In our B2 German course, you’ll learn to understand the main ideas of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics, as well as to follow specialized discussions in your own field. You’ll develop the ability to communicate spontaneously and fluently, making it possible to have conversations with native speakers without much effort.
In addition, you’ll be able to express yourself clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics and formulate a personal opinion on current issues, while identifying the pros and cons of various options. Writing detailed texts on various topics will also be part of your advanced language proficiency.
Schedule for B2 Courses
The B2 course lasts a total of 9 weeks and consists of B2.1 (4 weeks) and B2.2 (5 weeks). The course takes place Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.).
Please note that in addition to the 20 class sessions, you should also plan for about 15 additional hours per week for homework, vocabulary practice, and preparing presentations.

For the B2 course, you should have a solid command of the B1 level. This means you should already be able to understand the main points when clear, standard language is used. If you’re not sure whether the B2 course is the right one for you, we’d be happy to offer you our placement test.
The B2 exam is a minimum requirement for many degree programs. To gain direct admission to a university, you usually need a C1 level (TestDaF or DSH). However, with a B2 certificate, you can attend a preparatory college (Studienkolleg) that will prepare you for university studies. In addition, a B2 level is sufficient for many vocational training programs and for entering the workforce.
Yes, in addition to our regular B2 course, we also offer special preparation courses for the telc B2 exam. These courses are specifically designed to focus on the exam format and provide intensive practice for all parts of the exam. As a licensed test center, you can take the exam right here at our location.
